I have simila...It's so true about what you say. I have similar memories of growing up and that sense of community and even though I dont have kids of my own I see how insulated we are becoming and I find it sad. I'd want my kids to have what I had. It takes conscious parents to make that effort so that their kids get that. I believe it's possible. I see it here, one of my closest friends just had baby no. 4 and she feels almost as if she is my own because her mother cultivated that feeling and she did it with the rest of her kids so that they are part of this bigger family outside of blood relatives. It takes hard work but you see the benefits of it so that when her 13 year old has soccer at 8am on a Sunday morning he doesnt just have his parents cheering him on but an entire "village" <br /><br />Good luck creating those relationships for Sabreen, it really is a wonderful way to grow upShameemanoreply@blogger.com
